About Me…

I am a graduate student studying School Counseling at William & Mary, graduating in May 2025. I have a graduate assistantship with the Learning Resource Center at the William & Mary School of Education and am Secretary of the Graduate Education Association. I am also a member of the Chi Sigma Iota International Honor Society. In 2021, I graduated from James Madison University, majoring in Psychology and Writing, Rhetoric & Technical Communication. Previously, I worked with JMU’s Terror Management Lab studying existential psychology and suicide, and interned with Take Back the Night Foundation. I was the Marketing and All Together One Chair of Omicron Delta Kappa, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Psi Chi Psychology Honor Society, and Phi Kappa Phi.

In My Free Time…

I write poetry and short stories. I am learning American Sign Language, and hope to be proficient enough to counsel deaf students. I constantly tell my friends how much I love and miss my dog Maggie, who lives with my parents as I finish school. Baking is one of my passions, and I love making new recipes. My specialties are sourdough cinnamon rolls and dark chocolate brownies. I read science fiction books and annotate Taylor Swift lyrics. When I want to relax, I put Diamonds and Rust by Joan Baez, light a spiced blackberry candle, and start writing.

In The Future…

I intend to become a school counselor while working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I am open to working at any level, but I am especially interested in elementary school. In 10 years, I see myself returning to school to earn a doctoral degree in a mental health field, and writing children’s books. I am passionate about diverse children’s literature and am interested in bibliocounseling with students to promote literacy and mental well-being.
